Biography for Adam Cross：
Adam Cross is a Senior Lecturer in International Business at the Centre for International Business (CIBUL), Leeds University Business School (LUBS) and Director of the Centre for Chinese Business and Development (CCBD) at the University of Leeds. Previously, Adam served for six years as the Director of the Part-Time MBA programmes in LUBS, and prior to starting his academic career, he worked for five years as an international trader.
CIBUL is the UK’s premier research centre in international business and has been independently recognised as being amongst the top two such centres in the world. It was also ranked ninth in the world for MBA teaching in international business by the Financial Times (2007). Adam teaches international business and intellectual property management for CIBUL on a number of undergraduate, Masters and MBA programmes, both in the UK and overseas.
He has published three edited books, and has contributed to more than thirty-five scholarly papers (published in premier international business and management journals) and book chapters on the internationalization of Asian multinational firms, the cross-border licensing and management of intellectual property, and the institutional environment for international business. China provides a major country focus for much of Adam’s research. Adam is currently acting as Programme Director for three new undergraduate programmes to be launched in 2010 by LUBS: BSc International Business, BSc International Business and Economics, and BSc International Business and Finance.
